The Salt Facial
When our friends at Enlighten MD told us that they had a new treatment in their line-up, we knew we had to try it! Enlighten MD is proud to be one of the first medical spa's in the area to introduce The Salt Facial— a 60-minute, 3-part facial treatment that boasts skin rejuvenation & restoration with no down-time. We've experienced manyyyy relaxing, borderline indulgent facials throughout the years (which we admittedly love), but the Salt Facial is much more than a luxurious face massage. The Salt Facial is a results-based treatment that targets fine lines, age spots, sun damage, acne, and more... its basically an all-inclusive facial experience!

A natural, sea salt exfoliation that reveals tighter, healthier skin while priming it to properly absorb skincare products for maximum results.

Ultrasound technology combined with hydrating topical care to accelerate healing and oxygen production.

The Verdict
Our experience with the Salt Facial was great. Be warned, this is not your run-of-the-mill spa facial. The Salt Facial is a medical treatment using cutting edge technology.
The notion of "no-downtime" is a little subjective and depends what you define as "down-time"— we both had some redness the day after the treatment (from the exfoliation). Our skin also got kind of flakey and dry for about 3 days. But these side-effects weren't noticeable. Compared to other treatments that require you to stay out of the sun for x days or deal with extreme peeling, the Salt Facial is totally painless and any side-effects were manageable and coverable. We attended the FGI Rising Star Awards the day after the treatment and had no problems wearing a full face of make-up for the occasion!
After about 4 days, once the flaking stopped, our skin was absolutely glowing. The results easily lasted 2 weeks— leaving our skin looking healthier and more hydrated than usual.
