The Kimono Dress

Whether it's a robe, top, or dress, I can't get enough of the kimono trend. We saw the "Japonica" theme all over the Spring 2018 runways with mandarin collars, eclectic florals, and kimono styles. As many of you know, I LOVE Asian cultures — Sarah and I have a particularly strong affinity for Japanese culture.

This slinky kimono dress is perfect for date — the satin fabric, keyhole slit in the back + the short length make it especially sexy. I love wearing the color navy because its a departure from black and tends to look good on everyone! Pair it with booties and over-drawn, winged eyeliner for a romantic evening out... or a night with the girls ;)

Natalie

Prior to founding WE THE BIRDS, her professional experience was in accounting/finance. After being diagnosed with Celiac Disease, she fell in love with French macarons (because they are a naturally, gluten-free dessert). She spent several years mastering the delicate art of making macarons and developing her own unique recipe. Natalie fancies herself more of a "foodie", than a baker. Nonetheless, she is the founder and creator of WE THE BIRDS | Macarons recipe and is known for creating innovative flavor profiles. In her role as Macaron Director, she leads the our team of talented bakers.
