Ways to Wear
Borrowed from the Boys

Lately, when I look into my closet… I find my eyes wandering over to my boyfriend’s section. I don’t know if it’s the menswear trend that’s SO hot right now, or the fact that I am getting bored with my own wardrobe. Nevertheless, I have been borrowing [sneaking] items from my man to add some fun elements to my outfits! Here are a few easy ways to repurpose men’s accessories to elevate your personal style.
I hope these tips inspire you to dig a little deeper into the other side of the closet. Happy [sneaking] styling!

Oversized belt
When I am in the mood for a chunkier belt that has a sporty vibe, I grab his Nike golf belt to synch in the waist of an oversized blazer.
Note: This would also be cute with a flowy maxi dress to add a feminine touch + some sneakers.

Sweatpants
Okay so these might have shrunk in the wash…honestly I did not do it on purpose…lol. But I always have a hard time finding sweatpants that are the right amount of loose but also fit in the waist. So turns out, men’s sweatpants are the answer. For this look, I dressed them up with a classic pump and blazer for an athletic-work-look. OR you could just "go all in" by pairing a comfy cropped sweatshirt and tennis shoes for a day of running errands.

White Button-Down
Every guy should have a classic white button-down dress shirt in their closet. It is a staple for both men and women! It's great for layering. I love the look of a crisp white shirt (slightly unbuttoned to add a little sexiness). Pair it with a wide-leg cropped pant and statement shoes. If it is a little longer (meaning it covers your behind), add some black sheer tights, pumps, and a belt (to show off your waist), and you have a perfect sexy, night-out look. Biker Shorts
You might be thinking, “biker shorts are a women’s trend”… true. But I have a confession: I've been wearing my boyfriend's soccer slider shorts instead. Why go buy biker's shorts when I can use my bf’s sliders from his soccer days? Literally the same thing. Yes, these are men’s underwear… clean, of course! As a person with bigger legs, these fit me perfectly and were comfortable to sit down in without suffocating the thighs! I love throwing these on with an oversized sweater, or even a mini sundress with sneakers . Just make sure whatever you wear on top covers the crotch part ;)

Athletic Socks
One of my favorite trends is the socks with heels look. Not only is it super chic and original, but it saves ankles from MANY blisters. Win! Win! To me, it sends major school girl vibes, so I love pairing it with a mini shift dress. I also find myself borrowing his dress socks which add a fun touch to a midi skirt/dress and pumps.
